Congratulations to our Maverick of the Month: Rebecca Hayden!
Rebecca joined Team Maverick in July of 2022. She served as a service delivery aggregator, pivotal in elevating our clients' managed service provider (MSP) management to a higher level of maturity and cross-team operational excellence. Collaborating closely with platform owners in areas such as Server, Network, Virtualization, and Cloud Operations, she actively rode shotgun with these teams. Her responsibilities included day-to-day management of the MSP, ensuring seamless coordination, and introducing a standardized approach to service delivery, particularly in hardware-related services. Her leadership and collaborative efforts significantly contributed to streamlining operations and enhancing overall service quality.

2. How did you get involved with your current position?
I applied on Dice and was contacted by Maverick.
3. What do you enjoy most about your job?
Getting to know a new team, learning new technology, and helping to solve problems.
4. What are your thoughts on the future of the IT industry?
While there is no shortage of job openings, the market is really tough right now because of so many recent layoffs. Also, I think more jobs will be outsourced. US-based IT professionals will need to continue to build their skills with relevant certifications as well as leadership and soft skills to stay competitive. I also see a current need for Linux and cybersecurity expertise, and I expect that to continue.
5. What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
Go after your dreams, don't wait, and keep learning and training as you go.
6. Where would you go if you won a free trip to anywhere in the world?
Paris
7. What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your free time?
I love to read and enjoy nature by taking walks or visiting local beaches and parks. I also attempt gourmet cooking occasionally.
8. What do you enjoy about working with Maverick?
It has been a pleasure working with Maverick from the start to the end of my most recent contract. They offer competitive wages and benefits. Onboarding was a breeze. The staff is very helpful with payroll, benefits, etc and my recruiter, Sally Sweeney was awesome.
