We are excited to announce our Maverick of the Month for October: Renee St. Urbain!
Renee, an IT Project Manager joined Team Maverick in June of 2020 where she ran a Ceridian Payroll Project along with an IAM integration project for our client. Once that contract ended she supported another Maverick customer with part-time assistance. She is currently on her third contract with yet another Maverick customer! We know a good thing when we see one and our customers agree! Congratulations Renee!
1. How long have you been in Information Technology?
10 years.
2. How did you get involved with your current position?
Beth Lins (Maverick’s Sr. Technical Recruiter) matched my IT skills within a very specific area which our current client was in need. The specific skills were required to meet the goals and objectives of their clients.
3. What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being able to work with various clients with unique project requirements and goals. I enjoy being able to lead each project to successful deployment.
I like that my role helps our clients to stay focused on their current daily job duties. My presence avoids them being taken away to oversee projects outside of their already busy work day.
4. What are your thoughts on the future of the IT industry?
My thoughts are that the IT industry is evolutionary. I am and will always be amazed and excited about all the new and enhanced technology that is still to come!! The world of IT will never be mundane. There will always be learning and readjusting your mindset regarding technology and loads of information to always learn and keep your brain full of new knowledge!
5. What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
Unfortunately, my mother passed unexpectedly when I was 25 years old. So, I would tell my 20-year-old self to cherish and enjoy every moment with my best friend who was my mom!
6. Where would you go if you won a free trip to anywhere in the world?
I was able to visit one of my top places out of my bucket list this summer - the Maldives. Words cannot describe the beauty of that country! The clear, blue, warm waters are amazing, and that’s putting it extremely lightly. Next on my bucket list to visit is Fiji!!
7. What are your hobbies or things that you like to do in your free time?
Traveling and working out.
8. What do you enjoy about working with Maverick?
The entire Maverick team is made up of great people whom I enjoy working with! I’m impressed by their dedication to their internal and external clients.
