Let's hear it for our Maverick of the Month: Sri Himesh Bobbili!
Sri joined Team Maverick in December of 2020. As a Sr. DBA on our customer's Database Engineering team, Sri is working on upgrading existing database infrastructure and streamlining the provisioning process for Oracle, MongoDB, Vertica and other open-source platforms which enable NIBR to optimize how data is structured, stored, accessed, integrated, retained and deleted in a way that supports the organization's product and service delivery goals while adhering to regulatory requirements.

1. How long have you been in Information Technology?
9+ years
2. How did you get involved with your current position?
I learned Oracle Database administration, worked on several projects over the years and kept up with different versions of Oracle products as they emerged. I have also obtained certifications in cloud technologies like AWS and OCI.
3. What do you enjoy most about your job?
Analyzing complex problems, learning about new platforms and products, devising and deploying solutions for clients' database needs are the aspects that I enjoy most about my role.
4. What are your thoughts on the future of the IT industry?
IT is changing rapidly, Cloud technologies are very much at the forefront now and are here to stay. There is a higher demand for broader competencies along with specialized skills.
5. What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
Stay open-minded to constant change and enable yourself to adapt quickly
6. Where would you go if you won a free trip to anywhere in the world?
Morocco
7. What are your hobbies or things that you like to do in your free time?
Spending quality time with the family, playing the guitar and reading.
8. What do you enjoy about working with Maverick?
Working with Maverick has been a pleasure, I currently get to work with technologies and platforms that are of key interest to me on this assignment. I am certain the experience I gain here will enrich my profile as a Database administrator and the work-life balance is good as well. Both Tim and Beth are awesome, they helped me a great deal in the initial days, they still keep in touch, are always available for response, and address any concerns I may have.
